Our friendly and well organised club is proud to be part of the Nidderdale League. Established in 2003, our club nurtures the footballing skills of more than 50 children at levels under 7, 8, 9, 10 and 11. Every Saturday between September and April we run training sessions as well as play matches against local teams.
Boys and girls football from under 6 years to under 11 years, playing in the Nidderdale Junior Football League. We have over 60 boys and girls in total with over 6 qualified coaches together with other volunteers.
We ensure that: All volunteers are DBS checked. All coaches qualified to FA Level 1 or above. All coaches undertake FA Safeguarding and Emergency Aid course. Club Welfare Team all with Enhanced DBS checks. Covid 19 Safeguarding Risk Assessment in place.
We recommend all parents, carers and spectators to read the policies & procedures.
The implementation of policies and procedures in child protection ensures that both the environment and activities are safe for children and young people.
They will also support the adults engaged with children; to better understand their responsibility to recognise the appropriate processes that are in place if something is negatively impacting on a child’s wellbeing.
At Ripley Rockets every child counts irrespective of ability.
The club does not have a win at all costs approach and believes that every child should be given the opportunity to play at a level that they feel comfortable with and being supported to develop not only their football skills but communication confidence and social skills too.
Our all-inclusive policy does not mean sacrificing competition or a winning mentality we believe we can achieve all these whilst the children enjoy their football.
Thank you all for everything, Casper is loving playing for RR his confidence is growing and he is learning so much! We are so pleased he’s joined. The whole ethos is fantastic based around children enjoying football, learning and gaining life skills. Sadly not all clubs are the same. He didn’t want to play football anymore after the last season at his previous club - now he loves it again that is down to the team and hard work of the coaches thank you!
